The institute conducts teaching programs in medical and para medical courses at undergraduate level. Soon to commence post graduate and diploma courses. Teaching and research are conducted in 16 disciplines. Seven clinical departments each with identified areas of super specialization supported adequately by the pre-clinical and para clinical departments manage essentially all types of diseases based on Ayurvedic principles.

The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Ref. No. ACA/AY-56/2006-2007) having a Non Objection certificate from Govt. Of Karnataka (Ref. No. AKK-36PTD2004), recommended by Central Council of Indian Medicine (Ref. No. 4-86/2005-Ay), and approved by Ayush ( Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.) (Ref. No. R.12011/5/2005-EP). It operates a 100 bedded hospital with a total spread of 10 acre land including herbal garden, pharmacy, canteen and other amenities required for an Ayurvedic Medical College as per the norms of the statutory body.
